UKraft food truck opened for business in downtown St. Louis Tuesday, Oct. 23, offering a wide selection of customizable breakfast bowls, sandwiches, paninis and salads.


Matt Ratz, who owns and operates the truck with brother Mike Ratz, said the idea is to let customers build their own meals from start to finish.

Owners Matt and Mike Ratz plan to give diners a place to satisfy healthy cravings with UKRAFT. The menu will include macrobiotic breakfast bowls and sandwiches, custom paninis, soups and whole-wheat salad pockets. Diners can either build their own dish from a wide range of lettuces, proteins, cheeses, vegetables, fruits, dressings and toppings, or choose from a staff-recommended menu (called WeKraft). The latter includes items like avocado toast, a steak and cheese panini and salads.

UKRAFT food truck launched in October 2018 and is now making its way into a brick-and-mortar location. Opening late June or early July, UKRAFT Café and Catering will open on the ground floor of the Regions Center tower at 8182 Maryland Ave., in Clayton, the former home of Gourmet to Go.
